As Bluffton continues to grow, the Town needs a clear, engaging way to keep both longtime and new residents informed about local news, projects, and services. We collaborated with the Town’s Director of Communications to redesign the Town of Bluffton’s resident newsletter. The new flexible layout makes it easier to share updates, spotlight upcoming events, and connect residents with their local government.

Involving the locals
To give residents a greater sense of ownership, each issue’s cover features artwork from a local artist, chosen through an open call for submissions. Showcasing local talent celebrates Bluffton’s thriving arts community, gives residents a reason to look forward to every issue, and turns the newsletter into something the whole town helps create.
Informed residents are engaged residents, and engagement grows when people feel connected to the faces behind their local government. That’s why each issue includes a Hometown Heroes section spotlighting the Town employees who keep Bluffton running, from public works crews to planners to first responders. Sharing their stories helps residents put names to the services they rely on every day and builds trust between the Town and the community it serves.
