The Coastal Discovery Museum is a Hilton Head institution that preserves the natural heritage and history of the Lowcountry. We worked with them on a museum brand refresh to better showcase their value to the community.
Our goal was simple: create a visual identity that captures how nature, history, and art come together at this special place. The result is an elegant brand refresh that honors their mission while giving them a more contemporary presence.

What we did










brand refresh
We respected the museum's established community presence by evolving rather than replacing their identity. The refreshed logo incorporates blue tones that reflect the coastal environment and typography that echoes the arched branches of the property's live oak trees.

We created a complete system of print materials that work together visually while serving different functions. Each piece now effectively communicates the museum's offerings with clarity and visual appeal.

We implemented practical systems to amplify the museum's reach:
Social Media Enhancement: We developed a content calendar and post templates that made it easier for staff to showcase their programs. This organized approach increased Facebook followers by 10% in the first quarter.
Membership Campaign: When the museum updated their membership structure, we created a 9-step communication plan using email, phone calls, and direct mail. By the third step, 46% of lapsed members had renewed—before any printed materials were even sent.
